The items are: A magnifying glass, which reveals the shell currently loaded in the shotgun. A cigarette pack, which restores one charge (non-functional during round 3’s sudden death). A can of beer, which safely racks the shotgun, ejecting the loaded shell without consequences and effectively skipping a turn.

A shotgun must have an overall length of at least 26 inches and a barrel length of at least 18 inches. The Shockwave has a 14-inch barrel, four inches short of the federal requirement.

If the player shoots the dealer, they can deal one damage or risk receiving two. If the player shoots themselves, they risk gaining one damage (instead of two), but they could also deal one damage to the dealer. Mike Klubnika is an indie game developer, presumably from Estonia in Northern Europe known for making horror games such as Carbon Steel, The Other Side, and especially Buckshot Roulette. He also composes music, a majority of which are used in his games.

It’s a document that the Dealer makes all players sign before they participate in his game, essentially absolving him of any legal responsibility if a player dies. Interestingly, it’s hinted that the Dealer once won against God in the game, as evidenced by the bloody document with God’s name in the name box.

Buckshot Roulette is a 2023 indie tabletop horror video game developed and published by Mike Klubnika on itch.io. It was released on Steam by Critical Reflex on April 4, 2024, to coincide with a new update.
